While most everyone has special books that mean something to them and enjoy having a collection, sometimes it’s hard to figure out what exactly to do with these books that we receive as gifts or have lying around the house.
Having a special bookshelf for your favorite books is a great way to organize them and have them handy at the same time.
Keep your favorites near your bed or desk, wherever you like to read, and do the same with children’s books and have them accessible.
Also, when you receive books as gifts, make sure to mark who gave them to you and when.
This will not only reserve the special place of the book, but also bring back memories whenever looked upon.
Another great thing to do is to meet authors whenever possible and have them sign books; it helps bring a sense of connection to the writer, and makes the book even more special.
We love helping students grow their skills and learn how to read. Give ABC Phonetic Reading School a call today at 1-800-LET-READ (1-800-538-7323) for more information on how we can help your child!
